What you’ll learn in OSHA Safety Pro: Hearing Protection Program
- Protect the important things in life, like your ability to hear and respond to the world around you, by enrolling in a hearing conservation program. Occupational noise exposure affects not only our hearing, but also our self-confidence; take this course to learn how to protect it.
- We will discuss OSHA noise exposure standards 1910.95 and 1926.52 in this safety course, which is aimed at protecting one’s hearing and controlling occupational noise exposure.
This course teaches how to identify environments that may be harmful to one’s hearing and how to use countermeasures to protect against them.
Students interact with photos of job site occupational noise exposure environments to determine whether engineering controls or protective equipment are required. This short, but effective course is delivered in video format with the occasional quiz. Screen shots and photos of job sites where occupational noise control plans have been implemented are delivered to students in an interactive manner.
Who this course is for:
- Anyone who has a concern for their hearing. This may include city workers, construction or general industry employees, or anyone who experiences ringing in the ears or is concerned about hearing loss.
